Quick fixes for the things that bite first
Common issues operators hit during onboarding + their fixes. Email contact@midaspathsoftwaresolutions.com if a fix here doesn't get you unstuck.
"My device shows offline / no green dot"
- Power-cycle the tracker. Most FMB-series devices need ~60 seconds of clear sky to acquire a GPS fix on first power-up.
- Check GSM bars on Telematics → Devices. Zero bars usually means the SIM isn't activated; contact your SIM vendor.
- Verify the IMEI on the sticker matches the IMEI in the FleetCommando device record. Typo in either kills the binding.
"I can't see the map"
- The Live Map tile layer needs internet. If the dashboard shows but tiles don't paint, your network is blocking OpenStreetMap; try a hotspot.
- If the map is empty even with tiles, no vehicle has reported a position yet — see device offline above.
"Email confirmation didn't arrive"
- Check spam — Resend's reputation is high but new tenants sometimes land in spam.
- Hit Settings → Account → Resend verification to fire a new email.
- If still nothing in 5 minutes, email support — we'll verify manually.
"SMS didn't arrive"
- Phone must be in international format (e.g.
+233...). Local-only numbers are rejected by Arkesel. - Ghana is well-supported; international numbers go through a fallback gateway and may take 1–2 minutes longer.
"AI command pilot says it can't create things"
- Check the bottom-right canToolCall log on the chat panel. If it's false, the platform's AI provider isn't configured (rare; contact support).
- Your role might lack devices.write or vehicles.write. Ask your tenant Admin to grant the permission.
"Vehicle's assignment shows empty even though I assigned"
That was a known divergence between two assignment tables — fixed in May 2026. The Assignments tab now unions both data sources. If you still see "no assignments" on a vehicle that has a pill assigned, file a ticket with the vehicle ID.
